I have a folding G80CS kick start lever off of a 1955 G80CS that has the splines tore up pretty bad. Was wondering if anyone knows of a machine shop that can weld up and broach new splines? Or, at very least, clean up splines that are there!
Thanks for any and all help.

Thanks for the reply. I think it is way too far gone for the old file trick.
I am thinking of grafting a new shaft end onto my lever by cutting off the end of a fixed lever and welding to my comp lever.
Has anyone tried this? Successfully?
Thanks!

I was going to suggest this. I've done it with a Triumph folding top on an old Burman knuckle. Makes a lovely kickstart. Got to be a good weld though!

Yes, was going to use a #83 rod (15,000 lb tensile strength). Thought I would case harden all after that. Have my fingers crossed that it won't leave me up a creek without a lever!
