Hi
Are there any members local to the Southend area that will do the jobs on my model 8 that I cannot do. I am not restoring it completely, I like to call it a rolling restoration; in short I just want to ride it. I am ok at basics, but some jobs are beyond this retired old chap. Cash paid of course.
Many thanks
Colin

You're quite close to a good old fashioned dealer - Stephen Parker of John Parker Motorcycles at 153 North Avenue , Southend - who's more than happy to work on British bikes and won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Get yourself along to the section meeting Colin. Apart from meeting 20/30 local
members. It will save you coming along later complaining how much it cost to get your bike up & running. Which with a little help you could had got done for cost of parts only.

Come along to the East London and Essex section meets (2nd and 4th thursday of the month) at North Weald Airfield Colin, give Roy Bellett a call first to get the gate entry code, or wait outside till one of us arrives and follow us in. We don't bite and you will get a decent pint and plenty of advice and offers of help.
As one of the youngsters at the club (56 in July) it will be good to have some one around my own age there!

Arrange to meet up with a member Colin.
Apart from needing the gate entry code.
You may need a guide. The old WW2 NAFFI we meet in, is 1.8 miles inside the airfield.
You'll never find it, cos its camoflarged.Edited by - Rob Harknett on 18 Apr 2012 09:36:39 AM
