Re: Main Bearing and Shaft Bushes
I think you've not had much response as no details of motorcycle model, year or even if engine or gearbox that's referred to; try adding them in.

Is this your engine AJS 250
if not check the correct spares list for your engine year . some of these are available from the club spares scheme ie main beraing etc..
no an expert on lightweights , but this will be a good starting point

Re: Main Bearing and Shaft Bushes
It's hard to tell from your post which bearings you're referring to.
You should be able to identify the parts you need if you zoom in to this picture:
http://archives.jampot.dk/technical/Cut ... 7-1964.jpg
Note that the part number for the innermost main bearing is 012543, not 012542 as shown in the picture. The outermost bearing is correctly shown as 012542.
Parts are mostly available from club spares (http://www.amoc-parts.com), Russell Motors (tel. 0207 2281714) or AMC Classic Spares (http://www.amcclassicspares.com).
Good luck!

Re: Main Bearing and Shaft Bushes
Thought I would revive this bearing topic. If you cannot get a certain bearing via an AMC pt. no. you should try the Skefko or equivalents pt. no's. e.g Lightweight crank shaft 012542 = RLS7. 012545 = RLS4. there are many more for years models 1939 /1959. Look here. The catalogue shows AMC and Skefko pt. no's.
