I am restoring a 1960 G9 (duplex frame) which had previously been raced in classic races. My problem is it had a aluminium racing tank and a single racing seat and no mudguards.
Can anyone help in identifying or give me pointers or pictures in what to look for in getting an original tank / seat and mudguards.
thanks.

Re: 1960 G9
Hi Rodb, have you looked at the period literature in the Archive? http://archives.jampot.dk/
A 500 will have the same parts as an equivalent specification 650, the lightweights use similar guards but are smaller so study a selection of pictures.

Hi
A copy of Bacon is very useful, (essential in my view), as are the photos on the Forum for identifying the correct parts.
I wouldn't faff around looking for a dual seat, buy a new one from: http://www.rk-leighton.co.uk/ajs-matchless/
Give Steve a call at AMC Classic Spares to see if he has any of your 'wish list' in his stock of used items http://www.amcclassicspares.com/
Have fun Mick
