I am fortunate enough to have a propstand with my Model 8. However the stand had seen better days, the lower spring anchor snapped off and the pin at the pivot point replaced with a UNF 7/16 (14tpi) bolt and lock nut. Where the bolt is threaded (actually a set screw) within the bracket pivot it had worn making the stand flex enough to let the bike tip over relatively easily whilst on the prop stand (not ideal). After looking on the spares site to see if I could find a replacement, I realised/found that it should not be a bolt, but a threaded pin #017147. Does anyone have a clue as to what the actual size and thread pitch of this pin might be? The spares site says it does not come with nut or split pin... Why I ask is, I have a feeling that the PO may have drilled out the internal side of the stand to fit the bolt through. Which, if is the case, I may consider just finding another bolt (with shank), to replace it. Any thoughts, help would be appreciated...
Ah. by the way, I have repaired the spring anchor.
Matt
PS. If anyone has a rider footrest arm I am still trying to locate one.
